this is not procrastination.
let's be very clear about that.
the journal is right there. the checklist exists. the pencil is in hand. there are active thoughts happening — you can see them, right there in the thought bubbles — ideas, some clouds, a few sparkles of potential insight.
the hourglass is running. time is being respected. the plants are thriving which is honestly more than can be said for most people's plants.
this is a marinating situation.
the idea needs time in the bowl. the decision needs to steep. the plan is developing flavor. you can't rush a good marinade — everyone knows that — and you absolutely cannot rush the kind of deep, unhurried, bowl-sitting thinking that produces the best ideas.
is the checklist still unchecked? yes.
is something happening anyway? absolutely.
the turtle is in the bowl. the process is the process. and some of the best things that ever got done started with someone sitting very still, looking slightly smug, and letting it all come together.
not procrastinating. marinating.
wear your reminder daily.
